POSTCARDS FROM THE EDGE
Artists, collectors, and supporters joined together on a cold Winter’s night on Friday for the preview gala for POSTCARDS FROM THE EDGE, an annual benefit for Visual AIDS at CRG Gallery in Chelsea. Visual AIDS utilizes art to fight AIDS by provoking dialogue, supporting HIV positive artists, and preserving legacy.
POSTCARDS FROM THE EDGE is such a creative way to raise money. 1,500 artists from all over donated 4 x 6 inch postcards that were displayed anonymously. Friday night’s raffle included the opportunity to pick the first postcard and to bid on a silent auction of artists’ original works.
I donated a postcard (this was my third year contributing) and went back again to CRG Gallery to spend time looking at all of the postcards on Sunday.
